The aim of the DETHIS – Design Thinking for Industrial Services – joint project was to substantially increase the innovative capacity of SMEs offering industry-related services. The project developed, tested and evaluated a Design Thinking approach, specially adapted to these requirements, a methodology toolkit and a supporting electronic platform.
After three years of intensive research and practice, coordinated by Jacobs University Bremen, DETHIS is now nearing its successful conclusion.
As an application partner, we were able to further develop our own service innovation processes with the help of the procedure developed over the course of the joint project, the methodology kit and the virtual platform. In addition, we will use (and further develop) the DETHIS approach and platform during customer consulting assignments.
At the end, students from the "Professional Communication in Electronic Media / Social Media" department at the University of Duisburg-Essen produced an ERKLÄRVIDEO (explanation video), in which the advantages of the digital process and the DETHIS platform are presented. Our special thanks go to Alexandra Sach, Kristin Bolz, Charlott Melcher and Dario van den Boom.
The project work was a lot of fun for us and it has opened up new possibilities for both us and our customers. Many thanks to all involved for the constructive and cooperative cooperation.
